DAY 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Welcome to the land of a thousand hills!
Arrive at Kigali Airport where you will be welcomed and briefed by your guide. If you arrive before 1 pm, you can have lunch and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial (learn about the killings against the Tutsi tribe in 1994), and then drive to Musanze.
Main Destination: Kigali (capital city of Rwanda, the cleanest African city)

DAY 2: Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park, Culture Village, and Drive to Uganda
Early in the morning, after breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park, reach the headquarters for briefing before starting the Golden Monkeys trek. You will have the rare opportunity to observe the famous golden monkeys.
Spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time for lunch. Enjoy your lunch at the hotel or in a local restaurant in Musanze. After lunch, you will visit Gorilla Guardian Village where you will learn through demonstrations about Rwanda’s different cultures.
At 5 pm, drive to Uganda via Chanika border. Drive to Kisoro where you will stay at Lake Mutanda Resort.
DAY 3: Visit Mabungo Village
Start your morning with breakfast, and your guide will be ready to take you for a community visit in Mabungo Village where you will interact with the locals. Afterward, return to the hotel for lunch and relax.
In the evening, go for a sunset boat cruise and enjoy the view of Lake Mutanda.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
DAY 4: Coffee Farms and Pygmy Tribe
Visit the coffee farm in Kisoro where you will learn how coffee is grown from the garden to the cup, and visit the Pygmy tribe.
DAY 5: Visit Local Works Near Mgahinga National Park
After breakfast, drive to Mgahinga National Park. Nearby, you can experience the lives of local people.
You will have lunch in a local restaurant and, in the afternoon, drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, the 2nd deepest lake in Africa. It’s about a 3-hour drive, and along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views and landscapes.
DAY 6: Visit the Islands with a Local Boat in Bunyonyi
In the morning, canoes will be ready, waiting for you to canoe along Lake Bunyonyi. You will visit different islands on Lake Bunyonyi, have lunch in a local restaurant with local people, and in the afternoon, walk in the village for a local community experience. Stay overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
DAY 7: Drive to Kibale National Park, Swamp Walk, Community Walk, and Crater Lake Exploration
After morning breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park. The drive to Kibale offers good landscapes of Uganda. Upon arrival, have lunch in a local restaurant and proceed to the swamp walk, community walking, and then crater exploration.
Accommodation: Night at Jungle Lodge.
DAY 8: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
Have an early breakfast in preparation for serious primate business this morning. Make your way to the briefing point to get the chimp-trekking rules and regulations to ensure your security, then head off to find our distant cousins in the forest with the guidance of a guide.
After they have been located, enjoy an hour with them, then make your way back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After chimp trekking, return to the lodge for lunch and later proceed to Entebbe for a connecting flight.
